Apartment

The Project was the renovation of a 150mq apartment in a very elegant house in the hills above Cannes, France.

The apartment had one structural wall running through it. This thick wall formed one side of the hall and a very thin partition wall formed the other side.

The plan was to demolish the thin wall and rebuild it with the doors cut from door to ceiling to accentuate the 3m high ceilings.

The wall was then "folded" in at each doorway to give the same thickness as the other loadbearing wall. It rebalanced the hallway.

The other spaces off the hallway were treated as simple volumes.
